The Tourist Town of the Ancient Pu'er Tea-Horse Old City

The tourist town of the Ancient Pu'er Tea-Horse old city is located in the city administrative center, northeast of Pu'er north new district. The north new district covers a total area of 14.1 square kilometers, which contains six functional blocks such as administration center, culture center, science and education center, medical center, business center and high-end residential center; as a key-constructed city block in recent years, it is well equipped with banks, hotels and any other facilities. The project is constructed right in front of the heritage park, about 2 kilometers away from the highway entrance; it occupies an area of about 400 acres, with a total building area of about 270,000 square meters (including underground area of about 40,000 square meters) and floor-area ratio of about 1.05, covering theme dining street, bar area, inn area, boutique hotels, tourism commercial street, Tea-Horse family villas, high-rise apartments and other functional facilities.

The tourist town of the Tea-Horse old city is rebuilt based on the original image of the ancient Pu'er Prefecture to reproduce the most prosperous period of the Ancient Tea-Horse Road when myriads of businessmen gathered here for trading. 139 independent villas of 240-550 square meters resemble emeralds embedded in the city. They boast of family courtyards, private swimming pools, indoor elevators, semi-basements, forecourts and back terraces, all of which are in an orderly layout filled with rich and pure eastern culture. The water system follows a winding and tortuous course, encircling the whole Tea-Horse old city. Hence, implicit and profound Chinese residence culture is shaped by the perfect architectural arts which are irreplaceable and unduplicated.
